Healthy Forests Healthy Communities w/Hannah Jones

This event is part of the Olympic Peninsula Fire Ecology series, a 6 month exploration of the role of fire on the landscape around the Salish Sea - hosted by scientists, firefighters, ecologists, foresters and cultural burners, including site visits, film screenings, and hands on activities.
In this lecture, Hannah Jones will speak to the diverse perspectives on the timber industry in the NW, labor organizing, and what "regenerative forestry" means for healthy human and forest ecologies.
Instructor Bio
As the co-owner of Boots On The Ground Forestry and a dedicated community organizer, Hannah spends much of her time weaving together sustainable land management with care for the communities around us.
