10 am to 3 pm


Together we will each make a simple peg loom (to take home!), talk about wool/fiber from locally raised, hand processed wool rug yarn of various colors and textures and complete a small weaving project - warp, weave, and tie-off a small rug.

Class cost: $30 plus $20 materials fee

​We will be moving between a shop space and the Community Center in Quilcene (they are a few blocks away from each other. Neither space has stairs to enter and both have bathrooms.  Both spaces have bathrooms and do not have stairs. We will be using rotating blade woodshop tools - no previous experience with tools or the materials necessary!

​Kids 10 and up with an adult welcome, please register them separately.

​Instructor bios


​Flip
is an independent furniture maker and woodworking educator based on the Olympic Peninsula.  He love all things wood, from tree planting to fine furniture. He also loves group meals and swimming adventures

​Leila
is an erstwhile shepherd, alleged shearer, occupational wool processor and longtime weaver. You can find them at linger longer beach around 4 pm.
